Every year, we celebrate the much awaited Durga Puja Festival with the homeless clients we work with. It is a day we not only welcome this win of good over evil, but it also acts as a day where the clients can enjoy the festivities around them as part of one big Iswar Sankalpa family!

Puja Pandals in Kolkata
1 pm to 7 pm
About the Event
There were in total 55 clients from Sarbari – our shelter, and male clients from our Drop-in Centre who were part of the puja celebrations.
The clients, guests and staff got on to buses to go on a puja joy ride – covering 6 pandals in total; in Badamtala, 66 Pally, Agrani Club, Deshapriya Park, Taltolla and Asha Sangha. The clients were given chips and fruit as they hopped from one pandal to the next, taking in the much talked about Durga Puja celebrations in the city of Kolkata.
A tired but happy bunch of people made their way back to the shelter where dinner was served.
