“May the Timeless moment of your birth continue to revive and replenish our parched souls with creative joy” –

Iswar Sankalpa offered reverence to Rabindranath Tagore, the Bard of Bengal on 9th May, 2016. The residents and the staff members joined in performances together celebrating the immortality of his Creations. The programme opened with a melodious rendition of ‘Hey nutan, Dekha dik aar baar jonmer prathom shubhokhon’ by the Sarbari residents. This was followed by a dance – ‘Hridoy amar nache re ajike’ and Chandana’s recitation of ‘Prashno’. The IS team this time decided not to remain in the audience and with only a couple of days rehearsal, had put up a beautifully choreographed dance – ‘Mono mor megher-o shongi’  and a skit – Roger Chikitsha. The play in particular was enjoyed to the hilt by all present. Some great acting skills complemented the humorous dialogues, though all who performed were first time actors.

The residents of both Sarbari and Marudyan were present on the occasion. Some members of ‘Friends of Iswar Sankalpa’ too made it a point to participate actively. The programme ended with a little treat of samosas, chop and sweets.
